Founded in 1998, the Activa group is a major player in the African insurance market. According to its founder and CEO, Richard Lowe, the African continent’s insurance industry has immense potentiel for growth: Africa represents barely 1.5% of the global insurance market. However, in order to ensure the sustainable development of this sector, the continent will have to overome several major challenges, including but not limited to, political instability and pandemics.
