Overview
Gary McMahon has a PhD in economics from the University of Western Ontario and is an independent consultant on developing the mining sector to benefit all stakeholder groups, the political economy of development, the relationships between socio-economic and environmental sustainability, and the micro and macro aspects of natural resource development. From 1996-2015 he worked as a consultant and staff member at the World Bank. Gary has published on a variety of topics in development economics and has edited 10 books on development and transition economies.
