Overview

Jean-Claude Chesnais is in charge of governance at Proparco in the A2D department, after having worked for 20 years for the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). He was in charge of the "private sector support" pole within the Financial institutions and private sector division at AFD's headquarters in Paris. He was also head of Proparco's office in Abidjan, ans deputy director of the Dakar agency. He also served as a corporate director. He is a graduate of the Institut d'études politiques de Paris.
